With DJ Jeyaram, Attorney
The Katie Beckett Medicaid Deeming Waiver was established in 1982 to provide benefits to certain children with disabilities, age 18 or younger, without taking in to consideration the family’s income. It differs from other government benefits, such as Medicaid, NOW/Comp Waiver or Supplemental Security Income. It’s a complicated subject and we are pleased to announce that DJ Jeyaram, an attorney who specializes in Special Needs Law, including Katie Beckett will present valuable information about this program.
Mr. Jeyaram specializes in wills, special needs trusts, guardianships, estate planning and Katie
Beckett and NOW/COMP appeals. His presentation will be an overview of what Katie Beckett is,
what’s required to be eligible for it, how to apply for it and answer questions you may have related to your personal journey to obtain this valuable benefit for your child.
This meeting will be important for parents of children with disabilities age 18 and younger. This is also an important meeting for grandparents raising grandchildren with disabilities in that age group. Our meeting will NOT be held at our office
location.
These meetings are provided free of charge to the public to educate and encourage families and advocates. By joining ExOps, your support keeps you informed on events like this and helps support our mission in the community.
