Creating Exceptional Opportunities for People With Developmental Disabilities.
Founded in 1983 as one of the original advocacy organizations for disabilities in Fayette County, Georgia, Exceptional Ops (ExOps) provides a full spectrum of high-quality community support programs. These options empower people with developmental disabilities or differences, along with their families, to have choices that maximize joyful and productive lives.
Since our inception, we have proudly assisted more than 25,000 families.
Influencers for Change. Encouragement. Education. Support. Solutions. We advocate for disabilities through policies and programs that benefit individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring ongoing communication with city, county, and state officials. Our advocacy for disabilities extends to educating families, service providers, businesses, and the community at large with the goal of fostering a more positive and constructive environment for opportunity, engagement, and support. Our efforts are particularly focused on secondary education and addressing post-education needs, including community support programs and initiatives like Exceptional Ops.
You Are Not Alone.

Activities & Scholarships.
We offer free insightful meetings with experts who provide advocacy for disabilities, helping families navigate challenges while connecting with others facing similar needs. These sessions empower families to become knowledgeable about their rights and the community support programs available, serving as effective catalysts for positive change. Additionally, we proudly support the Fayette Special Olympics, High Hope Group Home, Fayette County Transition Team, and various Day Programs. We also assist families in obtaining scholarships for Camp Big Heart through our Exceptional Ops initiative.
Extraordinary times present exceptional opportunities for advocacy for disabilities and to support individuals with developmental disabilities through community support programs.
