These extraordinary times present exceptional opportunities for community support and for us to uplift one another. In 1986, ExOPS embarked on this vital journey—to serve and advocate for families who have loved ones with developmental disabilities and differences. What started as an informal gathering of concerned parents in their homes has now evolved into one of the premier advocacy groups in Georgia.

I began my role as Executive Director of ExOPS 16 years ago. During my tenure, I have been continually inspired by the commitment that family members of those with disabilities have to ensure their kids achieve their full potential. The journey has not been easy for them, as each day brings seemingly insurmountable challenges. Our dedication to these families and the broader community is to provide assistance throughout their lifelong journey and its many hurdles. Our vision is to create personalized pathways for each of our clients, guiding them to maximize opportunities. By helping them identify the steps needed to apply for and receive all available supports and services, we aim to facilitate the realization of their individual hopes and dreams. We offer this support free of charge, available Monday through Friday all year long.

None of these efforts would be possible without the incredible community support we receive. Donors who have stepped up ensure that no one requiring our services is ever turned away, teachers who have contributed to our educational programs, churches that have offered facilities and volunteer assistance, and individuals striving to make the world a better place for everyone.
