Dear Friend,

These extraordinary times are exceptional opportunities to support one another and spread good in our community. In 1986, ExOPS began this very journey—to serve and support families who have loved ones with developmental disabilities and differences. What began as an informal gathering of concerned parents meeting in their homes, has grown to become one of the premier advocacy groups in Georgia. 

I began serving as Executive Director of ExOPS 16 years ago. During this time, I have been amazed and inspired by the devotion family members of loved ones with disabilities have to seeking and assuring their kids reach their full potential. It hasn’t been easy for them. Each day these folks are faced with what can seem to be insurmountable challenges. Our commitment to these families, and our community, is to assist in the lifelong journey and all its challenges. Our vision is to create an individual pathway for each of our clients to follow throughout their lives to assure maximum opportunities. By identifying the steps they need to take to apply for and receive all of the available supports and services, we can assist them in reaching their individual hopes and dreams. We do this free of charge, and are available Monday-Friday all year long.

None of these efforts would be possible without the incredible support we get from our community. Donors who have stepped up to ensure that no one needing our services will ever be denied, teachers who have staffed our educational programs, churches who have offered facilities as well as volunteer support and individuals seeking to make the world a better place for all.
